When I first met William Ferrer, I didn’t just see a young barber with talent, I saw a story worth telling. At only 23, William had already spent six years mastering his craft, starting in his parents’ garage and eventually earning a chair at Hustler’s Barbershop in Pinole, California. His journey from high school cuts to becoming a trusted East Bay barber was full of passion, culture, and hustle.
Before designing anything, I took time to understand who William is, not just what he does. We talked about his roots in the East Bay, his time at UC Davis, and his Colombian–Cambodian heritage. These conversations shaped the creative direction. The site needed to feel clean, modern, confident, and authentic, just like his work.
I also handled all on-site photography and video. Every shot captured real moments: his focus, his connection with clients, and the energy of the barbershop. No stock photos, only William doing what he does best.
The result is a website that reflects his identity today and the future he’s building:
