The Daddy Bag was a product that I created under the Hana Everyday brand. The styles of these logos are completely different. Back in 2017 when the Daddy Bag was created, I didn’t fully lock in my love for minimalist design as a designer even though it was the style of design that I loved for a long time thanks to brands such as Superdry, Aprilia, and Illest.
I wanted the D&B to represent the hills of San Francisco while also having an outdoor feel since most other diaper bags and backpacks on the market had more of a playful feel to them. The goal of the Daddy Bag was to be outdoorsy, stylish, yet minimalist and I needed to capture that not only in the product but also in the logo and throughout the brand.
The Hana Everyday logo was simple but a bit off from how I design today. It worked then, and may still work today, but if I could do it over – you could get an idea of the direction I would design in.
